not sure why he wont compare games the way they come out of the box.I could load morrowind with mods and the game will run crappy on everything what is that like a 10 year old game?crysis 2 is not even in the discussion period.Unless there is a game im not aware of arma 2 and witcher 2 are top dogs

I have a hard time using AA as the determining factor of being tough on a system. The reason is in part because some games offer different AA levels for different manufacturers and also that it's just a general function that all games can be turned up really high by going into the cards control panel. Without ubersampling, the witcher 2 isn't as demanding as others mentioned.

I can agree with that. I always look at how a game runs on a wide range of systems using a wide range of settings before determining which is more demanding.

Take Metro 2033 - it is more demanding than Crysis, when both games are cranked to the max. But Metro 2033, unlike Crysis, can be played on mid-range systems and still look awesome. You could not say the same for Crysis (at least not until recently). Cranking down the settings in Crysis causes it to look like Far Cry.

In my own defense, I never said Crysis 2 was more demanding than Crysis or BF3, because quite frankly it's not. But I did say, and still do say, that when played to it's fullness - the way it's intended to be played (DX11, High-Res, MaLDo's pack, Blackfire's Mod), it is the most demanding and the most beautiful, because quite frankly it is.

Metro 2033 don't have mods, BF3 don't either.

And none of the Crysis mods (max immersion, real lifesis, natural mod) make it as demanding or as beautiful as C2 modded.

depends on the game im suprized at how well a single 7970 maxes most games at 5760x1080.I think you are selling yourself short with your dual 6970's.They are still strong cards if i had one of those instead of a gtx 460 i would have just stuck another 6970 in my system instead of 2 7970's

I can understand that however imo the most demanding game is the game that has least performance maxed. If we went by that though arma 2 would win by an even wider margin cause really what kills that games performance is view distance and shadows not so much AA

Yes, but considering that a single 7970 is almost as powerful as two 6970s - a single 7970 is 75% as powerful as 6970x2, and two 7970s are 50% more powerful than two 6970s, I would say it worked out for you.

Funny you lable people a troll just cause they say a GTS 450 is a slow card well guess what bud the GTS 450 is a slow card that can run AA/AF and or high setting everyone know this. Furthermore more the Radeon HD 5750 which is a slow card to even beast the GTS 450 LOL but ok ya I am a troll for stating the facts.

Crysis is an excellent benchmarking game. Yes I took a look at the other benchmarks and unfortunately the GTS 450 is slower than a Radeon HD 5750 which is by no means a power house in an of itself. I don't understand why you guys are defending a turd of a card like the GTS 450 but perhaps up against the Radeon HD 4850 is was competitive barley and thats where it was meant to be.

The 5750 and 4850 are in direct competition with the GTS 450 but they do 1680x1050P and even 1080P in some titles just fine why is it that the GTS 450 gets special treatment from you guys ?

ya the 5750 is so fast you will notice a huge difference between the two (sarcasm) they actually trade blows depending on the game one is not any better then the other.

5750 is faster and uses only 86watts and run cooler and more quite. GTS 450 is about on par with the 5750 until the AA is turned on and the resolution rises then 5750 is clearly better. I wouldn't recommend going under a GTX 460 256bit 1gb or an HD 6850 as an entry level solution though.

It's not trolling to merely state your opinion about something (in this case, that the GTS 450 is low-end), but it is trolling to put down what another user has, especially when YOU WEREN'T ASKED, you little jerk. It makes it doubly trolling when what you are saying is a flat out LIE.

The 450 is an excellent mid-range card that can max just about every game on the market at 720p. Whether or not that is desirable depends totally on the user, not some argumentative little troll.

You people said i put somebody down when I said the GTS 450 is no good how it that putting somebody down is a GTS 450 a person. CCome to think of it PCgamer81 you are the only one attacking people around here and I quote PCgamer81 "so take your Zelda and stick it up your arse." Watch your step please and I expect an apology from you so lets clean it up and gets this thread back on track please ;-)

Compared to the competition of the GTS 450 which is Radeon HD 4850 and Radeon HD 5750 the GTS 450 performed at the lowest level in Crysis against these cards. Under 30fps is not playable min 30 to 50fps is good and 60fps+ is great.
