My place in the EVGA queue came up for a 3060 so I ordered it for my girlfriends computer. We wanted to upgrade her rig before some upcoming games release and I imagine this will be the only time in the next year+ I will be able to snag one for her. She currently has a 9100F which in most games seems a bottleneck for the 3060.
Currently in her system is a 1060 6gb which is actually worth something right now too. Seems like a good time to sell that and install the 3060 despite the bottleneck?
She uses a 1440p native 144hz monitor. She is not as fussy about fps as me so will likely have this system for a long while, but she does want a steady 60 medium-high settings.
Seems like a good move right? I'd rather get her a 3060ti and upgrade her cpu later but this seems like a rare opportunity for a pretty significant upgrade.
What would you do?
