Hey there fellas.

I'm looking to get a spicy little upgrade this year and was wondering if it would be considered "worth it" to replace my old Gtx 770 windforce OC 2GB with a PNY Gtx 1060 6GB. If need be I can shelf out a considerably higher amount and opt for a Rx 5500 4GB TX or a Rx 580 8GB TX, but i'm very much on what some might consider a tight budget here. I've just noticed that, for a lot of games that i try to play lately, the 2GB of my trusty old windforce doesn't seem to cut it anymor. e (specifically in games like monster hunter world or titanfall 2... And hopefully my new choice will be able to run elden ring when that eventually gets released)
I exclusively play in 1080p so anything beyond that is meaningless to me. My system consists of the following specs:

CPU: Ryzen 5 1400
GPU: GTX 770 windforce OC 2GB
RAM: 12GB (but it's not the super speedy kind of RAM it's budget RAM)

I hope you guys can help me out here. My maximum budget is around 240 USD (which is what the 580 or 5500 would cost me) but i can pick up the 1060 for around 191 USD.

Based on 2016 games it will be about double the performance and likely much higher on newer games. https://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/1771?vs=1768 If price is close I'd go with a 1660 or 1660 Super instead.
Unfortunately the 1660 line seems to start at like 360 USD here (for a 1660 xs on sale)
And that's more than 100 above my budget so i don't think that's an option. I can opt for the 1650 line though..? Would that be a better pick than a 1060?

Get Asus Tuf 1650 Super, i got for 190 USD approx, its a good 1080p card, which performs closer to the base 1660 variant

Unfortunately there are no stores that seem to have stock for that one where i live. And when I'd already really be stretching my budget to get it (It's around 270 USD here) i really couldn't afford to pay through the nose for international shipping either. How about the MSI GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER Gaming X 4GB? that one appears to be in stock.
Thanks for the advice btw
According to the comparisons on https://game-debate.com the card i just mentioned is 23% less powerful than an Rx 580 though (which i could get for cheaper than it anyway)
Although i really don't know how trustworthy/meaningful game debate's stats are (for all i know they might be testing stuff that don't apply to my 1080p playing self)
