Dear all

I am about to buy a new rig and would just like to know if my old Corsair VX 550 W PSU would run this rig below:

1. Case: CoolerMaster CM 690 II Lite (~£60)
2. Motherboard: Asus P8P67 LE R3 P67 (£95)
3. CPU: Intel Core i5 2500k (£160)
4. RAM: G-Skill 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600Mhz RipjawsX Memory Kit CL9 (9-9-9-24) 1.5V (£55) or for £45 I can go for 4GB but faster times (7-8-7-24)
5. HDD: Samsung F3 1TB 32MB Cache (£42)
6. GPU: AMD HD 6950 (£170)

Thank you!

N/B: I might be overclocking the CPU to around 4.4-4.5 ghz and possible the graphics card in the future.

Hmmm - ok,

pulled off amd's site;
Suggested AMD Radeon™ HD 6950 System Requirements

PCI Express® based PC is required with one X16 lane graphics slot available on the motherboard
500 Watt or greater power supply with two 75W 6-pin PCI Express® power connectors recommended
Certified power supplies are recommended. Refer to http://ati.amd.com/certifiedPSU for a list of Certified products

sell the PSU, add a lil cash and get this XFX 650W modular PSU or this XFX 850W non modular PSU

but i can't figure out why this antec 620W psu is cheap...

if not, i think it'll be good but only cos of the OC'ing your going to do - i'd advise to have SOME headroom after oc'ing all your devices.

But your PSu is mentioned in the certified list of PSU's on amd's site.
