[SOLVED] Would this ram be compatable with an HP Compaq Pro 6200 SFF PC?

It matches the same speed, and same ram type (DDR3) that the computer currently uses, so I was wondering.

I want to take it from the 8 gb I have, to 16gb and I'm thinking this might be good.

Should work fine, but I'd rather get a better brand of memory used or at least buy direct from the company and not through any marketplace where stuff can be fake.

they have 98% positive rating so might not be fake, and im prime member so amazon will help if it is fake

I wouldn't trust it because the fakes today are so good that you only find out when you need warranty service and the manufacturer lets you know that what you bought wasn't real. Better to just pay a little more and buy it from someone reputable that sells only memory or direct. The manufacturer sells it direct for the same price:

You should be at 24gb if you used your existing 8gb as well?

If you can do 32gb, definitely do. Everything is always using more ram. 25 years ago, people were asking the same about moving to 32mb of ram when windows 95 came out. The ram requirements have gone up 1000 times, and yet systems are not 1000 times faster in normal usage. Code bloat eats a lot!

Gotcha. I hope you're running the 2x 2gb vs the 1x 4gb to keep everything dual channel.
