Hiya, wonder if anybody can help me.

I have been having probs with my PC now for a few months. It has been

hanging, generally whilst using the internet, and even then mostly with

my browsers and not my file sharing program.

The hardware setup is as follows:

82810 Chipset
Celeron 500mhz
192mb RAM
Speedtouch 330 USB
2x Hard Drives (99% sure they are physically ok)
cD-RW (Fresh as the day I bought it)
Genius Web-scroll mouse
Windows XP Professional Version 2002

This is my 'Hijack This' log:

Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1

I Have formatted, reformatted, rereformatted many times, cleaned boot

sector, fresh installed, upgrade installed, I have used spysweeper to

keep tab on things but it hangs the computer when it starts.

We have been getting Blue Screen of Death at least 3 times a week, had

never even known it was possible on XP until a few months ago!!

The messages I can't remember because I never thought to write them

down. Sorry!

Have looked in my event viewer log and found this lot:

* Error code 0000004e, parameter1 0000008f, parameter2 000070c1,

parameter3 ffffffff, parameter4 00000000

* Error code 0000000a, parameter1 ffbe0000, parameter2 00000002,

parameter3 00000000, parameter4 804f794a.

* The System Restore filter encountered the unexpected error

'0xC000007F' while processing the file 'XUL.mfl' on the volume

'HarddiskVolume1'. It has stopped monitoring the volume

* The Internet Connection Firewall (ICF) / Internet Connection Sharing

(ICS) service hung on starting.

* The IPSEC Services service terminated with the following error:
The authentication service is unknown

The last two log items seem to be the most common errors.

So that's it, I am seriously stumped.

Cheers!

192mb of ram....Youre at the very minimal amount standards that microsoft
set for xp.Increase youre ram to 512mb,most available for 810 chipset, and
you wont have the crash(s).....You can/should also open system properties,
advanced,performance,virtual memory,change button,L.click on a drive,then
select,"let windows manage" then click set 2X,do this for both hds, then close
out,a restart should be prompted. This will increase youre memory also...
