When we start up our PC everything works fine. We have three acounts, and we
can log in to all of them. The problem occurs when you log out of an account
and try to log back in or try to log on to another account. We can log out of
an account without any problems, but at the welcome screen (the screen with
the account icons and the password boxes) things go awry. We can click on an
account, and the password box opens up, but the cursor is missing. We cannot
type in our passwords. We thought it was the keyboard, but it isn't. Can
someone help us? This problem happened shortly afte we installed more RAM on
our PC.

Pepe, Take the ram out that you installed and try it again. Chances are you
got some bad ram that is effecting the OS in strange and as you described
"awry" ways. If that doesn't work try doing a system restore to a point
right before it started acting up. To do this log on to an account that has
administor priveleges, click on start, all programs, accessories, system
tools, system restore. select "restore to an earlier time" then select a
date from the calendar that comes up on the screen to a date prior to the
problems. Hope this helps.
