As someone suggested in an earlier post, I tried playing a dvd movie in
Real player 10 and had the same problem as Media player 10; with mosaic
type video, bright, streaks and pixelized picture. Direct x is updated
to 9c, the nvidia driver is the latest....reinstalled media player
10....I had also previously updated my digital camera software and I am
investigating with the Olympus tech support as to whether it's update to
Camedia software 4.3 may have caused this. As of now, it still plays
dvds' terrible in media player and real player.

Try reinstalling your DVD playback software.

In addition, download this decoder checker and see if your DVD playback
software is compatible with Windows Media Player 10.
