Trying to listen to Internet Radio was working yesterday, but now it shows "Please wait" on the display. I have the latest firmware version (2.59).
Also the vTuner radio guide web page returns 404 error http://

Did Yamaha discontinue Net Radio?

you're right, it's gonna be ….bye bye Yamaha

They have canceled their agreement with vTune starting 01.04.2019 but vtune has shut down the service yesterday. Yamaha is working on another solution

I m from Malaysia, facing the same problem. How can vTune just shut down the service when the last day for the agreement is 1.4.2019? I think Yamaha Corp should sue them.

Hi, friends, message yamaha.europe:
The services should be renewed no later than tomorrow.

Situation as of 4.1.2018:

R-N602 - Not working
YSP-2700 - Not working
WX-021 - Works, internet radio without any problem

This is what I know from a Danish Yamaha person.
He says they will have a new solution running soon

My current alternative solution:
Using "Server" mode instead of "NetRadio" by opening the streams from my FritzBox router.

The FritzBox allows to setup media streaming for Internetradio and Podcasts.
The Yamaha receiver can open this UPnP stream by using "Server" as input.

In case somebody uses FHEM or some other kind of homeauotmation with the YAMAHA:
Just change the stream selection command from e.g.
navigateListMenu "Lesezeichen/My__Favorites/AlternativeFM"
to
navigateListMenu "FritzBox-6490 Mediaserver/Internetradio/AlternativeFM/AlternativeFM Stream"

Working fine ...

Hello all,

thank you for creating this thread. Have the same problem since yesterday and was worried my receiver is broken.

Let's hope for a quick fix.

Location: Germany
Device: RX-A 2060

@spieler.jan yeah i use this workaround via server too but i don't want to reenter all radio stations again.

I'm from Poland. Net Radio also does not work for me. I can not imagine listening to commercial stations again, where there are still advertising, news and conversations. I want to listen to only music from around the world . CRX-N560

same issue here, confirmed by yamaha service centre.
use now free jamcast https://getjamcast.com/ to stream music to yamaha rx-v671.
install it and choose ip adress yamaha, in browser set music you want.
yeah i know not ideal but good enough for the moment and wainting on a solution from yamaha.
Jamcast version is free for 14 days, so hope for an update soon.

Had contact with Yamaha. All players before 2017 experience this problem. There is an issue with vTuner. The later Yamaha versions use Airable. There will be a firmware update coming. How long? I don't know.
In the meantime use your mobile device or so for internet radio via bluetooth.

Hope it clears somewhat.

Same here in Utah, USA -
Yamaha RX-V681 receiver -
vTuner was working fine Wednesday January 2nd -
Then yesterday morning found it was dead - and still dead now -
Sent two messages to Yamaha - no response -

No telling when a firmware update will appear for my RX-V481 so I just paired my receiver with an Amazon Echo in the same room.

Works great, so I can listen to several of my favorite Internet stations from TuneIn.

Same problem here in Germany / NRW: no netradio.
@ spieler.jan:
Thanks for pointing out the possibility with the fritzBox. I had not considered the solution. Works great and the main stations are running again 🙂
I hope yamaha is working hard on the solution. The whole thing is really a no-go ...

What a difference a day makes. When I searched yesterday, I could not find anything related to this problem.

I have two receivers, a rxv777 and 577. Both died sometime yesterday. I went straight to vtuner to check if their service is ok.
I don't think it is related to country. Only the new receivers that use airable work. Everything on vtuner.com from Yamaha is dead.

I tried all day yesterday and a few hours today to set up a local server to serve the xmls served by vtuner but there's no documentation available. If they somehow restore the service, I'll capture the traffic to get all the links and file formats. The protocol uses simple xml files.
