Should I consider buying a seagte 1tb hdd with manufacturing date of 2015?

Yes or no and why?
Read, write n stress test as working 250gb as main c drive, 250gb for downloading, streaming torrents, n 500gb for storage.

Or should I consider refurbished 2013 model wd black 1tb.

Price is same as seagte is new n wd black is refurbished
Seagte have warranty and wd black have 5 days checking.

Solution
Well, if price is the same, then get a new HDD. Also, it's nice to have warranty on anything you buy.

I have the exact same model running for a few years now with no problems (Seagate ST1000DM003).

Here you go. It's actually the only storage device in my current machine and I have it partitioned into (C: ) and (D: ) drives for OS and everything else respectively.
