Z68 good for OC?

Is the z68 a good motherboard for overclocking an intel i5 2500k to about 4.5ish GHz?

Side question: - does this motherboard support 2 graphics cards and does it have pcie 3.0??

You really have to tell us what bored. Z68 is a chipset, not a board itself. Some are good for OCing and can run two cards, and some cannot. Also, to run PCI-E 3.0 you will need an Ivy Bridge CPU.

Yes, all Z68 mobos allow OC'ing and most are good at it, but we definitely need to know what mobo you're looking at to tell you what the OC potential is and about dual GPU capability. And HostileDonut is spot on with the Ivy requirement for PCIe 3.0.

That board only has 1 x16 PCIe slot, so only 1 GPU can be used, and it appears to not be very good for higher OC's (4+1 Power Phase design, and from reading the reviews , the BIOS seems to be neutered a bit).

The one x16 slot IS PCIe 3.0 capable though (with an Ivy Bridge CPU).

ASrock also makes a board with 2 slots, i think its call ASrock z68 pro gen 3.... But now there are z77 boards out as well...

ASROCK makes a x68 Extreme3 Gen3 which is like the Pro3 and has the extra PCI-E slots along with the OCing stuff you need.
