I recently just installed a brand new z87-k motherboard, but in Speccy it says 114 degrees celsius. I'm very confident that speccy is reading wrong, GPU and CPU runs under 40 degrees so np there.

I tried checking in the bios if you can see motherboard temperature, apparently you can't.

My setup:
PSU 1000w
16gb ram hyperx
Intel i7-4790k
CPU Cooling H50
Z87-k motherboard

Make sure your BIOS and chipset drivers are up to date. Doubt it would make a difference but it won't hurt.

If you really want to know for sure you could get an infrared thermometer or camera to check board temps. Or if you can just try touching different parts of the motherboard to see if they feel really hot (e.g. the PCH and VRMs). Otherwise, there isn't really anything you need to do.
