you can even get i7 6700k with your budget ...there is plenty of headroom

100ish for MOBo , 250$ for i5 6600k, 50ish for 8 GB ddr4 ram , that leaves 1100 for Gpu you can buy your self a SSD witht he leftover

for security reasons ...if your PSu RIPs some day it may take your wholl PC with it ....

upgrade cpu 1st you will get better peroformance increase if you upgrade your mobo/cpu then getting new gpu

why do you complicate so much ask your self 2 simple questions How much you can spend and how strong gpu do you want ATM the Best GPU is 1080 after it comes 1070 after it comes 980ti then furyX then 390x 980 390 and so on why do you want o spend on 390X when its soo much slower then 1070...

Most of the time it runs at lower clock then 3Ghz usualy aorund 1600 Mhz when its idle ..whenit runs normaly it goes to 3200 Mhz but when its under stress > gamign etc it goes to 3600

Dude anything below 90 is good ..why panic at 52 >?

Btw skylake i5 cpus only have like 10-15% fps increase comapred to 2nd gen i5s with that gpu you willhave 100+ FPS on 1080p on ALL games even if you play with pentium G

if you want too get new Cpu you will need New Mobo since they are on diffrent chipset even if you get new cpu like 6950x or what ever which costs 1700$ you will at most get 20% FPS increase those that say you Cpu will bottle neck bla bla bla .... are the same kind of people that are saying...

Why Would you buy 2 x 980ti ....they are ALmost the SAME price as 1080 ???

7790 is decent for rendering ..... about shortening life spans ....even if you dont use the hardware ...it will only last for max 5-6 years.... and best way to render is combined that way ...you will get fastest rendiering whille not any load wil be ona a single hardware piece ..

Open Even Viewer ... in control panel ...and look for the date /time when you did the msitake ...there will be information ...
