How do I tell if my GPU is seated properly?

So, my GPU is the only thing that appears to not be working on my new build. When I connected my display to the GPU, no signal. When I connected it to my mob's video output, I got video. I'm inclined to think I didn't seat the card properly and that is the cause. So, first question: How hard...

IS this a good gaming pc on budget

Would I get it? No. But I don't buy used PCs. Whether you want to spend the money is your call. With Cyber Monday tomorrow, you can get a hell of a deal one some components, or even a prebuilt from something like ibuypower.

IS this a good gaming pc on budget

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/rw4wdC Fundamentally the same computer for less than $500. All components brand new. You could easily update this to have better components for less than $100 more. Just for the sake of comparison, this is a budget build, without an SSD, that I was considering...

IS this a good gaming pc on budget

For a used PC? Not really. Used PCs are not valuable pieces of hardware as a whole - individual components are usually worth more than the system as a whole. An equal or better system could be built, brand new, for $500 or less. The biggest problem is that this computer has a few years worth...

Build for dota2 and cs go

I've been working on two different system ideas. One is more future-proofed and runs more stuff at max settings, while the other is more of a budget build that will still run most games on high settings. Both will do what you need. The more expensive one is naturally likely to be more effective...

    i5-6500 vs i5-4460

The price difference between the CPUs is about $30. But then the mobo and RAM changes also. Overall, the cost reduction is about $65.

    i5-6500 vs i5-4460

https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Moragh/saved/#view=JhJ323 I'm trying to finalize my build. I really only have two components that I'm torn on. The GPU and CPU. Right now its between the 6500 and 4460 for the CPU. The 4460 fits my budget better, and would allow me to get a 970 Twin Frozr (or opt...

    390 vs 970 Twin Frozr

https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Moragh/saved/#view=JhJ323 I'm trying to decide between Builds #2 and #4 in this list. Build #1 is on the table as a budget build (if I replace the i5-6500). Which would go better? Is the i5-6500 too much power to go with a 390? I'm not going to be doing anything...

Three Possible Builds - Which one?

http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Moragh/saved/#view=JhJ323 I'm aiming to get the best value for performance. I'm using this exclusively for gaming + general work stuff (I do a lot of internet-based research, and I do a lot of writing). I'm not looking for frills, overclocking, or anything insane...

Looking for a solid, cheap case that is easy to keep clean

I'm looking to start a new build. I'm planning to use a micro-ATX mobo. Also considering a Corsair Hydro H55 CPU cooler. My goal is a case that isfunctional, light, cheap, and easy to keep clean (so maybe being able to install dust filters to the outside would be nice).
