    It shouldn't be overheating. You have a great CPU cooler. You may have put on the thermal paste incorrectly or you put the CPU cooler on incorrectly. Check those first.

    You can't overclock a i7-2600 as those are locked processors. An unlocked processor will always have a K after it (Or an x for the Extreme processors which can be overclocked).
