I recently recieved an RX 6400 as a gift, so I could upgrade my old PC with an i5 4440 and 32 GB RAM (1600 Mhz). It is a big difference and they work great but I noticed the i5 is bottlenecking GPU in some games, so I was thinking to get an 4790k.
Not sure if my mobo (ECS B85H3-M)...
Hi fellas below is my setup
Mobo: Gigabyte Z97M-D3H
CPU: i7 4790K
Ram: 16 GB (8*2) 1866 DDR3
GPU: Asus OC RTX 3060
When I am playing games on 1080p ultra or very high settings no issues FPS are above 80 or even 100. But as soon as I turn on Ray tracing it massively drops down to 40-50 FPS...
Hi guys, so I am not quite sure how long this has been going on for, but my PC has been running super hot, specifically the last couple of days. For years I have been reading the pump temp in corsair link as the CPU temp, which for the last couple of days has been hovering around 70 degrees. But...
PC specs :
Asrock Z97 anniversary
PC cooler paladin 400
Corsair vengeance pro 1600mhz 4x4
So, Im doing overclocking to my cpu @4.5 ghz (vcore voltage 1.300 and input voltage 1.900) and it cant pass the stress test like P95 v26.6, aida64, and asus realbench.
I already try to turn down...
I know you guys here are miles ahead of me in this stuff, so I know coming here and asking is probably well worth it given the feedback/expertise of users here!
So I'll make it short: trying to upgrade a very out-of-date, mid or lower range, pre-built Acer/Aspire/i3/etc. type low-grade PC...
Headline pretty much says everything, so is it worth to change i7-4790K to Ryzen 5 1600X? Im doing a deal with a friend, exchanging CPUs, MOBOs and RAMs. So im giving i7-4790K, MSI PC Mate Z97 and 4 x 4GB RipjawsX and he gives me Ryzen 5 1600X, Asus ROG Strix B350-f and 2 x 8GB...
Hello community, I have this i7 4790k when I turn on the pc the fans move but then it shuts down. I already tried with a celeron g1840 processor and the pc turns on normally. I have the Asus Q87M-E motherboard. I already tried with two different power supplies. I want to be sure if he already...
i have an asus z97k motherboard with an intel i7 4790k and 4 sticks of 8gb ddr3 ram. This pc is about 5 years old now.
I have an issue when i try to reboot frequently in a short amount of time (i do this to boot from a usb or something). When i do it enough, the mobo eventually hangs at the...

i want to upgrade my gpu and i can afford a rtx 2060, but i dont know if my cpu will have bottleneck problems with this gpu, i see a lot of comments about this combination, but i dont know what to think. My other alternative is a used gtx 1070 ti, because both have the same price, very similar...
Is this safe thanks in advance.
I delided it with Thermal Grizzly Condactonaut LM, inbetween ihs and cooler MX-4 i got 2 intake fans, Dark Rock PRO 4 as cpu cooler.

Hi I was wondering if my H81m-plus would work with a i7 4790k? I have got bios 2110 would that be good enough? I know it's not the ideal motherboard for it but honestly processor is my priority upgrade at the moment.
My PC is a little on the older side, it has an i7 4790k at 4.5ghz oc all cores, 16 gigs of ram coupled with the 1060. Is it worth upgrading to newer offerings like the rx 5600 xt or rtx 2060??
(Both cards are priced almost similar to each other in my country)
I am not sure about a full system...
I recently noticed my i7 4790k (no overclocking) reaching 100°C while enconding a large video file with Handbrake which got me to look at my temps more closely, and I found that my idle temps are somewhere between 36°C and 45°C, occasionally reaching 50°C.
My CPU is cooled by a...
I've got two GPUs running in SLI for almost a year without problems(almost).
Today i installed a m.2 ssd,
now my GPUs only runs in the first PCI-e lane (in other words, no sli!)
The second PCI-e lane does not seem to function.
I've tried taking it out, and clearing CMOS.
My bios is the...
Just as the title says. I have a non-overclocked i7 4790K with 16 gigs of DDR3 ram (1600 mhz stock) and looking to get a GTX 1070 for gaming only. I'm not into competitive online gaming (cs go, pubg, etc) so a decent frame rate between 50-60 fps is enough for my eyes not detecting any slowing...
My current CPU is running at 4.5Ghz @ 1.26V. I bought a used i7 4790k for ~$200 CAD. When I swap CPUs do I need to reset CMOS before reboot? Will it require be to reset the boot drive? I'm currently running a Z97 Gigabyte Gaming 5
Hey guys, i'm here for your toughts on this, i'm running a I7 4790K for a few years now and it was cooled by an old Corsair H60 which was doing the job fine until a few weeks ago.
Case is NZXT 340 close to perfect cable management, with 3 Be Quiet Silent wings and 1 Noctua NF-A12 all linked to a...
Gals and Guys,
Freaking....wanna upgrade from my old 4790k into something new. Dont wanna go overboard with price, so perfect price for me would be around the now released 3700x.
I have rtx 2080 and would like to go for some x570 board with 16+ gigs RAM. Is it that big step or maybe wait...
Hi guys, i´m planning to upgrade to the new Ryzen 5 3600, looks like a great CPU for gaming (and that's what i do with my PC), but i don't know if is a good idea. i have these components:
AsRock Z97x Killer
Intel Core i7 4790K with 4.5Ghz OC at 1.18v
Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB 2400Mhz
I can probably guess there are hundreds of questions about the new ryzen cpus since they seem like absolute bargains.
I am just wondering is it really worth it to upgrade from what I have now to the R5 3600? From research the performance increase is 20 odd percent, is that worth the new...
So the advice I am asking for is really to do with steady gaming. What I mean by this is that sometimes when I play games they stutter (games like BF5 and sometimes Resident Evil 2), I always had a feeling it may have something to do with my RAM (I will list my components at the end), as...
Everytime that I enable ray tracing and DLSS the game starts stuttering, and I can't understand why...
I have a 1920x1080 60Hz monito, so I'm not asking too muche for the GPU and I don't care about framerate over 60 fps, but this thing makes me really crazy...
Here are my specs:
hi! i know this is really old but what im asking for is, is it worth upgrading from i7-4770 to an i7-4790k and overclocking it, (im going to trade the old cpu and add 40usd and get the i7-4790k)
currnetly i own
gtx 1070 inno3d
