Question 1440p, 240hz+ monitors ?

Hello! I’m looking for a good 1440p monitor with a high refresh rate, ideally under €1000 (preferably lower if possible). I’ve been considering IPS displays, but OLEDs have recently caught my interest. I typically use my monitor for about 5 hours straight (or more), each day so I’m somewhat concerned about potential burn-in issues. I’d like it to last at least 5 years, so durability is important to me.

I’ll mainly use the monitor for gaming (FPS and AAA titles) and work, and since I don’t have a TV, I’d also watch some series and movies on it. I’ve been looking at the ASUS TUF Gaming VG27AQML1A—it seems to fit my needs, but I’ve read mixed reviews about its quality, especially regarding color accuracy. I would greatly appreciate any advice or recommendations on potential monitors or displays.

so I’m somewhat concerned about potential burn-in issues.
OLED has burn-in flaw regardless. If you don't want burn-in, pick QD-OLED (quantum dot OLED), which doesn't have burn-in issue at all. Also. QD-OLED is as stunning (if not even more so) than regular OLED panel.

Take your pick, pcpp: https://de.pcpartpicker.com/products/monitor/#r=256001440&P=9&sort=price&page=1

E.g MSI MPG 271QRX QD-OLED in-depth review: https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/msi/mpg-271qrx-qd-oled

Ok, thank you. Will probably just buy an IPS monitor though. Thank you anyways!

If you can live with poor contrast ratio (where blacks aren't black, but gray or some form of blue), then sure, get an IPS panel.

But if you want the richest and deep blacks, then look towards VA panel.

VA panel is actually something that i'd suggest and i'm personally also using VA panel monitor (i need high contrast ratio for my image editing hobby and it helps in gaming as well).
