16 BG RAM

Have a new system with 16 GB RAM 4*4 GB on a z68 board. I think this is way more than I need. Is there a way I can somehow take advantage of the extra memory I don't need to run things or speed the system up somehow?

its alot more than most ppl need but, theres no way to take advantage of the extra RAM, in time it will be handy though, soon enough applications will get larger and larger....
