I have 3 monitors, the newest of which I picked up for cheap from a thrift store. It works, is connected to my NVIDIA GTX 1660 SUPER through a VGA cable and a VGA-to-Displayport adapter. It's the rightmost monitor.
Currently, when the monitor's built-in settings are at default, the display is shifted to the left by about 300 pixels, leaving a black bar on the right side.
Using the monitor's built-in settings, I can slide the display to the right about 150 pixels, but it still isn't reaching the edge of the monitor. Additionally, when I move my mouse off the right side of the center monitor, it takes a second for the mouse to appear on the right monitor, indicating that the mouse is moving through undisplayed space between the two monitors.
I believe this to be a Windows/GPU issue as the hardware menu (OSD) on the right monitor CAN be moved all the way over to the right edge.
Moving the display to the left side of the setup in Windows 10 display settings doesn't help. Changing the resolution doesn't help.
Nothing in the NVIDIA Control Panel has helped.
Is there anything else I should try? Anything in BIOS settings? Otherwise, my next steps will be to exchange the adapter, and if that doesn't work, to exchange the monitor for one that has Displayport built in.
