I'm working on a build based on a restored Dell Optiplex 790 SFF, and I'm not sure what graphics card would be more suitable for it. After looking around, I feel confident that I can narrow down my choices to the MSI low profile versions of both the RX 560 and GTX 1050 Ti, both of which appear to have low enough TDP that the PSU can still handle it (I've read about similar builds which use the 1050Ti LP card). My monitor supports FreeSync, but I don't know if that makes it worth going for the AMD card over the Nvidia one. Or am I completely off-base with my expectations for the PSU here?

I live in the UK, I don't know if that makes any difference with regards to availability.

System details
  • CPU - Intel Core i5 2400
  • PSU - 240W
  • HDD - 500GB
  • RAM - 8GB
Ultimately, I'd like it to be able to comfortably play a game such as Total War: Three Kingdoms on this system. Which should I pick?

I'm new to building PCs, so help would be greatly appreciated.
