good point sam 😀 oh yeah forgot to ask if the XFX 7950 Black Edition was any better than the 660ti power edition? 😀

Same arguments... GTX660 Ti for hugely more consistent/stable framerate delivery (not masses of fluctuations) and adaptive v-sync so way better framerates below 60 when v-sync is enabled (potentially almost double if GPU is running just under 60).

yep, amd shouldnt of bought ati, they should of continued making good cpus, look at where they are now, we need a game changer, id gladly go back to amd cpu if the performance crushed intel, last amd i had was a socket am3 965 a few years ago, ever since been intel all the way.

LOL I did the same thing! I sold my Msi 7870 and bought a Msi 660ti; best choice ever!

nice, i like the 7870 but i experienced some micro-stuttering when had all the eye candy turned up and was annoying as hell, besides the 7800 series, i wonder what other series has this issue, because ive had other cards from ati that dint stutter like this.

weird.

660ti all the WAY! The nvidia FXAA makes us for the 192-bit memory interface and if the games doesn't support FXAA its really not that big of a deal! I dont see a difference between 4AA or 2AA. BF3 all settings MAX (even AA) 60+ fps! GW2 all settings max 60+fps

I've just upgraded from a small Pre built fx 4100 to an i5 rig and I much prefer intel!

And there's a better logo 🙂 (Gigabyte)

+1 about Intel. AMD really dropped the ball delaying Steamroller until next year. Even if it will be able to compete with Haswell, it doesn't matter now - they'll now have to compete with whatever it is Intel has for 2014 (Broadwell I think?). Even interms of integrated graphics, Intel are closing the gap fast (though who cares about integrated? 🙂).

well amds processors havent done so well since a few years, yeah there budget oriented, but they dont even have a highend processor that beats intel outta the water, they need something good and quick, no wonder there losing money each year, they should of sticked to doing cpus not buying ati, also i preferred when ati owned ati, since amd bought it something feels different and quality has gone down.

also for haswell, by the time amd comes out with something it will beat the current sandy bridge stuff, and haswell will be number 1 as usual, unless amd pops out a bunny from there magic hat, at this point i dont see it happening with the direction amds going in, but who knows.

They don't have the swing they did back in the Athlon 64 (x2) FX57-FX60 days. It normally takes 2-3 cycles for them to catch up to intel now which is embarrassing. But yea hope you enjoy your 660Ti

Actually gonna have more money than i thought so do you think the 670 power edition is worth it? or just stick with 660ti?

yea its worth it the memory bit is what pushes it further ahead then the 660Ti. See the 660Ti is a great card but because where the memory bit is it will hurt it in the future. Meaning its good now but as time goes by the 670 will hold better because of it. Also, everyone and there mom compares the 670, to the 7970 and that is a honor considering where the 7970 is.

to be honest the performance difference u see now won change down the line, it is what it is, want a great cars buy it, want 10% more performance go ahead and pay 100$ more,

we both agree the 192 bus is a future limiting factor but what u see today will be the same down the line except the fact games will ask for a better card, the gtx 660ti and 670 will still remain the same.
