Did you notice either IDE or floppy is gone? It also says it supports DDR@-1066 and AZALIA HD audio AND PCIe x32.

I guess they're changing things, Abit boards usually match-up 1-2,3-4 for RAM instead of the 1-3,2-4 we see here.

What is up with the flower power?

Intel's new chipsets for Conroe will also be dropping IDE support so it looks like it may actually be dead now. The problem is, I haven't seen many SATA optical drives so this may be very problematic. In any case, I would think that OMC support for DDR2-1066 would be more important than the motherboard connectors supporting it.

Plextor has them so will be seeing HP and LiteOn following soon. I think the floppy should go too. How hard is providing "boot disks" on CD?

It's not that hard at all. It just requires that all computers have their boot order set-up correctly to read the CD-ROM before the Hard Disk. All newer computers do this anyways so it shouldn't be a problem.

Yeah, I've got Bart's WinPE. It's just that I really wish th eindustry had just made the Zip the floppy replacement. Then we would have a rewriteable disk much better than CDR.

I bought a new floppy drive with my last build, and I haven't used it once. Never tested it to see if it worked. :lol:
