Aces 7113 laptop

when restoring this laptop back to factory setting it some how would not fire back up, saying there was an error, so i used a disc i had with LINUX MINT program which i wanted to load up instead of Wndows XP, the problem now is neither Linux won't install but worse is Linux has wiped the Windows XP off this laptop. any suggestions on what i can do, as i have to use a disc to temp. use my laptop.

If the operating system has been wiped from the hard drive you really don't have much of a choice to ressurect it, other than Clean install of OS from CD.
