Please keep the build discussion to 1 thread.
I'm customizing a computer at CyberPower.com now.

Here's the build.

http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/saved/1Q40R1

I was thinking of changing the video card to the "GeForce RTX™ 3070 Ti 8GB GDDR6X Video Card (Ampere) [VR Ready] (Single Card)". But, I'm not sure it would be worth the extra $ 177. What you think?

I was also thinking of changing the power supply to the "850 Watts - Corsair RM Series RM850 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Fully Modular Ultra Quiet Power Supply". It's only an extra $ 22. What you think?

I'm getting this because my Win XP computer can no longer do much on the internet anymore.:( I miss playing "Skyrim" now. And "Mass Effect Legendary Edition" needs Win 10, or higher, to run it.

I'm still going to use my XP computer to play my old games on. And my email program, "Outlook Express 6", won't run on anything higher than XP now. I'll still have uses for XP now.

You don't have an SSD. Building a new computer with only mechanical HDD is a waste today. You should have at least a 500GB SSD.

Not to sound offensive but that computer is a total hose job and then some for $2600. It's at least $1000 overpriced if not more. The power supplies they offer are junk including that made in China Corsair RM model. I can post a build on here that would save you close to $1000 while running circles around that Cyber Power build. You can order the components and have a local PC shop build it for you for a small sum. People do it all the time. All I need is your monitor's resolution.

Really? Huh... They came highly recommended though.

I have no idea where one is, or how to do that either.

People do it all the time.

Well, those people probably aren't stuck crippled in a nursing home like I am.

All I need is your monitor's resolution.

All I know is it's a "HP LE1901w", since that's what it says on the left corner.

I have no idea how to do anything really.

Those things are too prone to failure. And leak all over the place too.
Not if you pick one that's made by Asetek which is practically every AIO on the market but generally you can't go wrong with Corsair, Arctic or Lian-Li's AIO's. Just stay away from Thermaltake AIO's.

Just another FYI, if your build consists of the case as shown in the picture, then no matter what you put in terms of cooling, it's going to be bad since the airflow in the case is bad, the case is devoid of any air intakes. I'd swap the case out to something that can breath and perhaps look into a Noctua cooling solution. If you want to get an AIO back into the build while on an i9, look at nothing less than a 360mm AIO.

Ahem, umm pretty much most power supplies are made in China. The RM isn't bad, it's pretty much middle of the lineup. Now the CX-M they were offering a while back, that was bad.
Chose some new stuff now. http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/saved/1Q69AN . Let me know what you think here.
Absolutely not. $2700+ for a 2060?. No.

Try this for a $2700 build instead.

I don't like that case very much. Nope. I'll just stick with the "CyberPowerPC NR640 High Air Flow Mid-Tower Gaming Case with Tempered Glass + 4x 120mm ARGB Fans [-29] (Black Color)"

Default case fans?! Why? "6X 120mm Phanteks SK120 PWM FAN - high airflow nine-blade 500-1500 RPM Radiator Fans Black" is the better choice.

An Intel i7? Those aren't worth the sand they're made from. i9s are the way to go.

Liquid cooling? LIQUID COOLING?! I HATE liquid cooling. No. "ENERMAX ETS-T50A ARGB Series CPU Cooler w/ Black ENERMAX Twister Bearing PWM fans (All Venom OC Certified) (Black Color)" is the better choice here.

A GeForce RTX 3070 Ti 8GB GDDR6X Video Card? No. I have reasons for needing a card with a dVi-D output port. And the 30 series does not have it. The "GeForce RTX 2060 6GB GDDR6" is the better card for me.

Well, at least you chose the right power supply. The RMx series was made in Japan. With Japanese parts. Much better than the RM series. Which was made in China.

You chose a "ASUS PRIME Z690-P WIFI DDR4 ATX Wi-Fi 6 2.5GbE LAN 4 PCIE X16 1PCIE X1 3X M.2 SATA/PCIE". Nope. Won't do. I need one with a SATA3 on it. For my reasons. The
"GIGABYTE Z690 UD AX DDR4 WiFi 6, ATX ARGB 2.5GbE LAN, 3 PCIE X16, 2 PCIE X1 6 SATA3 3X M.2 SATA/PCIE" is the better choice. You even get a free Norton Security with it.

You chose "DDR4 3600MHz Memory"? Why? Everyone knows that "DDR4 4000MHz Memory" is better. Though, I will now admit. "GSKILL Trident Z RGB" is the better choice.

A mechanical drive? A MECHANICAL DRIVE?! ... Are you mad? SSD is far more superior. "2TB Samsung 870 QVO-Series SATA-III 6 Gb/s SSD - Seq R/W: Up to 560/530 MB/s, Rnd R/W up to 98/88k (Single Drive) " for both Primary, and Secondary, hard drive. That's much better.

External Accessories - You forgot the "External USB DVDRW".

Operating System - Windows 11?! And the Home version?! Arrrggghhh! Windows 11 is trash. It is pure garbage. "Windows 10 Pro (64-bit Edition)" is a far better choice. Most of my programs will not work with Windows 11, and only with Windows 10. Also... Why settle for Home when you can have Pro?

Windows Recovery - You forgot the "Windows 10 Recovery USB" is the way to go.

Professional Wiring - You forgot the "Professional Cable Wiring Care".

Ultra Care Option - You forgot the "CPU Thermal Compound".

Warranty - That should be "Premium Warranty - 1 Year Parts Warranty".

Here. I've fixed it. http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/saved/1Q69UK .

Thank you for directing me to the Gamer Infinity 8800 Pro. I didn't even know the i9-12900K was chooseable here. And now that you have shown me that the GSKILL Trident Z RGB is the superior memory I can upgrade to 32 GB. Yay!^_^ Thanks!^_ ^

Not really, a i7-12700k beats the 11900k across the board.
https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i9-11900K-vs-Intel-Core-i7-12700K/4110vs4119
In fact the 10900k actually beats the 11900k in more than a few things, especially in production areas, the extra cores more than making up for the lower IPC. And 5900x topped the 11900k easily, and often, even the 5800x could generally keep up with it. In your terms, the 11900k was a massive waste of sand, barely beating out its smaller brethren. Don't get caught up in nomenclature, i5 vs i7 vs i9, it's meaningless across generations.
Liquid cooling? LIQUID COOLING?! I HATE liquid cooling. No. "ENERMAX ETS-T50A ARGB Series CPU Cooler w/ Black ENERMAX Twister Bearing PWM fans (All Venom OC Certified) (Black Color)" is the better choice here.
That cooler is seriously ineffective with an i9 class cpu, it's in no way got the capacity to keep a 250w + monster cpu regulated. You HATE liquid cooling? That's a very strong opinion about a subject I'd be willing to bet you know little about other than hearsay stories.
Win 11 IS Win10. There's a couple of minor changes, some UI changes, but other than that they are the same thing. Win Home is designed more for media, graphical capability, Pro is designed more for networking. If you aren't running a home network, Home has advantages Pro doesn't have.
You chose a "ASUS PRIME Z690-P WIFI DDR4 ATX Wi-Fi 6 2.5GbE LAN 4 PCIE X16 1PCIE X1 3X M.2 SATA/PCIE". Nope. Won't do. I need one with a SATA3 on it. For my reasons. The

ASUS PRIME Z690-P WIFI DDR4
Intel® Z690 Chipset**
M.2_2 slot (Key M), type 2242/2260/2280 (supports PCIe 4.0 x4 mode)
M.2_3 slot (Key M), type 2242/2260/2280/22110 (supports PCIe 4.0 x4 & SATA modes)
4 x SATA 6Gb/s ports

Well, at least you chose the right power supply. The RMx series was made in Japan. With Japanese parts. Much better than the RM series. Which was made in China.
Don't think so, both are made in China, both have Japanese 105° solid caps, slightly different platform is all.
Ultra Care Option - You forgot the "CPU Thermal Compound".
Seriously? You think they'd put a cooler on dry fit? It comes with paste, trust in that.

And No, intel sees very little benefit from faster ram, it actually gets more benefit from tighter timings, the Cas on 4000MHz is too high

No. My reasons for doing it the way I'm doing it. Here.

01. - https://www.startech.com/en-us/server-management/sv211kusb . I will then get this to connect it to the Win 10 computer I'm having built by CyberPowerPC - https://www.startech.com/en-us/audio-video-products/dvi2vgae . Then I will get this to connect it to my current here Win XP computer - https://www.startech.com/en-us/cables/dvivgamfbk .

02. - I have a HP LE1901w LCD monitor. The people here at the nursing home dug it of one of their junk rooms. They're not springing for a new one.

03. - While my brother will be springing for the computer, and hopefully the other stuff, he won't be getting a new monitor. The one I have works right now. That's good enough for me he thinks.

04. - I am poor. I am crippled. I have no job. I spend most of my time sitting in a chair. I have no way to earn money.

05. - The GeForce RTX 2060 6GB GDDR6 will be more than enough to play Skyrim, Skyrim 64-bit, Mass Effect Trilogy, Mass Effect Legends, etc..

I'd go with the i7 and put the savings towards a better graphics card.

http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/saved/1Q6A0F . Switched back to the "i7-12700K". Now for a very important question here.

Should I change the 32 GB RAM back to 16 GB RAM? I am going to be using this computer to play games like Skyrim, Skyrim 64-bit, Mass Effect Trilogy, Mass Effect Legendary Edition, Playstation, Playstation 2, Gamecube emulators, and etc., etc.. Will 16 GB RAM be enough now?

Let me know.

Stick with 32GB RAM. You never know when new games will call for more memory. btw you want 2x16GB sticks of RAM, not 4x8GB sticks.

Why are you talking about stuff that's not even on the CyberPowerPC site? You're getting off topic. ... The topic being to advise me on the builds at CyberPowerPC. Not to list a bunch of stuff that's not even on their site. There are other places for you to post your dream build at to show others. None of this is useful to me.

I've decided to go back to 16 GB memory. It's more than enough to run Mass Effect Legendary Edition. I'm not going to be able to afford the really high price games anyway.

My current build - http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/saved/1Q6A18 . Any advice on the build listed here? Please don't post a list of stuff that doesn't even have anything to do with their site.

Ok. You have valid reasons for some choices, which were previously not mentioned, as such. The build is fine in all regards except 1 and it's a deal breaker for me. That's the cpu cooler.

Enermax claims a 230w ceiling. That's a fallacy. The cooler has thermal performance that puts it up against the 140w beQuiet DarkRock Slim. Even Aida64 can put it into thermal throttle on an 8700k with less than 200w OC.

I'll put it into perspective. It's a wheelchair built to fit a 6yr old child that claims a 300lb rating. It's not going to work out well for you at all. You have a pretty nice build, that's going to last a good while, but cpu intensive games like heavily modded skyrim are going to put that cooler to the wall. You'll be running high 80's to 90's °C constantly with fans on maximum.

It's rgb fluff, better suited for a 12400, not a 12700k and definitely not even close to comparable to what a 12900k requires.

I don't have the money. My brother has the money. And he's not willing to go to all that trouble now.

CyberPowerPC will build, and ship, the computer. All my brother has to do is pay them. That is the option that will be taken instead.

I am just a crippled, unemployed, poor girl stuck in a nursing home. Why does everyone think I am rich? Or that I can do practically anything? I am not. I really can't.
