im sorry if this has already been posted! the cpuz looks real tho yeah?

http://www.fudzilla.com/images/stories/2007/April/CPU/agena_baby.jpg

We told you before K10, Agena works just fine. We had a chance to witness it and we can even prove the existence of this 65 nanometre part. The Agena processor is an AM2 version and fits in 940 pin boards.

The CPU-Z 1.39 recognizes the CPU Opteron 148 but you can clearly see that this is a 65 nanometre part with 1.273V, with four cores.

It works at 1.9 GHz or 1908 MHZ to be precise with multiplier at 9.5 and the bus speed of 200.9 MHz. The 0.5 multiplier settings are back. You can also clearly see that we are talking about quad core processor with four cores and four threads.

Agena at 1.9 GHz has 4x64KB L1 Data cache memory, 4x64KB L1 for Code, 4x 512 KB L2 cache and finally all cores share the 2048KB L3 cache.

this site seems quite reliable yeah/..

8O If thats photoshopped you will be beaten with spaghetti until you repent.
If its real, thats is awesome almost  just missing a few bench numbers to add to it

the voltage is pretty low eh? Looks like tehy should have no problem bringing clocks up to 2.3 or 2.5 or w/e its supposed to be at stock volatges, let alone overclocking. If this is true, i'm getting excited, and i keep coming back to look at the pic even though no one has posted again 8)

Also, where is the SSE4a instruction we heard so much about?
That was my first thought when I looked at the picture. It could be that CPU-Z needs a update to be able to recognize it, but that is just a wild guess.

Probably in a future CPU-Z update.

I still don't get the numbering scheme. Will performance be so lackluster that they will have to confuse the market?

Currently i am holding back my drool for some facts on this. This cpuz screenshot campaign is friggen old and tired and it means pooh  If there were preliminary benches Id be getting antsy and start fidgeting and slurring my speach.

LOL, ya, well thats why i said i'm *getting* excited

And i hope it is juts a cpuz update thing.... or else

cpuzxo9.jpg

I had to for fun :) yeah yeah i forgot the extra cache

looks like things are starting to get going in the AMD camp. Looking forward to this and the R600 release.

This looks suspiciously like the CPUID of the same chip floated a couple of months ago:
http://forum.pcstats.com/showthread.php?t=39121

It sure does.

The funny thing is... that filter layer placed over the image to make it "look" real just makes it look all the more fake.

Cant they learn to take a picture straight? All this sideways stuff is annoying.

It adds to the illusion of authenticity.
If they want to think that, fine. As far as I'm concerned its just annoying and turns me off bothering to look at it carefully, which is what they want I guess.

Not saying that it is faked, it could be real.... but the one I linked above was shown to be faked.

Based on the moire pattern, the type of angle shot, and such I am just a bit suspicious....

Fuad seemed to have bought it hook, line, and sinker... if it is authentic, more power to him.
IT IS FAKE, 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000%

The programmer of CPUz confirmed that no CPUz up to date is looking after L3 if the CPU is recognized as K8.

It isn't recognized as K8, it doesn't have a family name, notice, just the engineering sample for the processor name.

sad purpose 8O

adobes CEO * insert name here*

was actually an amdtintelividia fan ! 8O

photoshop, made for the purpose of scrwing with fan boys fits perfectly with the whole APPLE IS BETTER thing.

if it made sense :?

But Cpu-z in the picture doesn't recognize a family for the cpu (I still have a good feeling it's fake, but I don't think that the L3 is the reason why.).

opteron is k8 only isnt it?

8O dnt mean to scrw my own finding but... 8O
If it was an engineering sample from AMD from a new family of processor on the same socket, a processor that little is known about, CPU-z would not necessarily be able to recognize it.
