Hello there!

I'm on the edge of buying 3060 TI + Ryzen 5 5600X - but I can barely even squish them in my budget, so there's not much I can do about the motherboard itself. I'll present you a couple of options for a couple of B550 motherboards, please advise me on what I could get. I am not looking into overclocking anything - everything will remain as it is. If you have any other ideas for a cheap PCIE 4.0 motherboard - let me know. This is most likely the best I can do at the moment - unless I decide to go with Intel, though their motherboards are expensive. Thank you all in advance!

bump up your gpu to a 6700xt. better card and cheaper than the nvidia cards.

as for the b550, you need to think about your needs and not just price. how many m.2 slots? pcie slots? headers? sata ports? usb ports? etc etc etc. then you can start figuring out what to get. there are a lot of good options even at the low end, but you do need to know what you need first.

a couple of the x570s boards are decent at the low end as well. gives a touch more features than a cheap b550.

what's the full specs you are looking at? and again what are your needs for the system?

I'll be fine with just 1 m.2 slot. Nothing special. As for the 6700 XT - I don't trust AMD. Look at the B550M Pro4 - that's what I chose so far. I'm fine with the low amount of USB ports - don't need more anyway. I am more worried about the VRM cooling - as I know it's quite important. Every X570 board I just saw is out of my budget.

i have a phantom gaming 4 itx board and found it pretty good for the price. the atx version should be just as good.

look for a heatsink over the vrm's to help keep them cool. but honestly the 5600x does not use much power so it does not need top end power delivery.
