I am having sound problem in battlefield 2. i have soundblaster 24 bit sound card. when i try to use hardware for sound. i can't here the voices of people in game. it sounds like voice chat on internet. but on software mode it's fine. i can't use the other mode in battlefiled 2 which is creative X Fi. what do you guys think

windows Xp SP 2
intel pentium D 930
intel G965wh MotherBoard
kingston 1GBx2 dual channel memory
EVGA 8800 gts 320MB
Creative Sound blaster Live 24 bit (with latest drivers from creative which are dated AUG 2005 which is quiet old

yeah i get three options for sound output in battlefield 2 but they are
1. software
2.Hardware
3.creative X-fi

Choose creative X-Fi.

I have the X-Fi Extreme Music sound card. I have the X-Fi then Ultra high quality setting on the BF2 audio option.

So try that one. Select "Creative X-Fi" and "Ultra Quality".

..no don't choose X-Fi thats a feature specifically for the X-Fi series. If software emulation sounds fine, just use that.

i am using software emulation. but i want to use hardware emulation. it sounds better. anything wrong with my sound card. or it's just to old

Well that card is old to begin with and not to mention the driver is neglected by Creative and since has not created a new one. If you can't use your sound card then try using the motherboard's onboard audio instead.

I have the X-Fi Extreme Music, great for gaming and entertainment. It should be around $100 now and make sure to use a good set of speakers to fully experience great audio.
