So it’s been a few years since I’ve been able to sit down and properly enjoy some gaming be it PC or Console and I know TVs have never been a really good option for PC gaming but is that still the case? It’s going in the sleeper berth of my truck so I don’t really have a whole lot of room. I MIGHT be able to fit a 40in but that’s cutting things extremely close.
I don’t play a whole lot of FPS shooters. I have a few older ones like the first couple Borderlands, Bioshock series, and DOOM 2016. I think the newest graphically intense game I even own on Steam is Serious Sam 4 from 2020 and after that is like Evil Within 2 and Prey both from 2017.
I prefer to play more laid back single player games like The Sims, Oxygen Not Included, Stardew, Sonic, RPGs, etc where I can just sit back, relax, and enjoy things at my own pace. I don’t care about resolution so 1080p is perfectly fine with me. It’ll probably be the resolution I’ll be stuck with anyways once I’m even able to afford to build an ITX rig in something like an old Node 202 or currently available equivalent case.
Currently (and probably for the next year sadly) I have an extremely tight budget. I’d like to be under $150 but I might be able to stretch things to $200 after taxes. Are there any good options out there that are new or maybe even some older options I can look for on the second hand market?
EDIT: forgot to mention that initially I’ll be using it to play my Nintendo Switch in dock mode
