Question Bios for Toshiba satellite S855D-S5148

Hi guys I have a problem with my old Toshiba Satellite laptop I have buy two ddr3 8gb sticks of ram but my laptop doesn't accept it this a laptop that I Wana upgrade for my little girl for school the bios that comes with its v6.4 I been searching non stop for almost two weeklapto now and I don't find the latest version that is 6.70 anywhere if someone can provide the bios update it will be awesome and you will be doing a little girl very happy please help thanks

Shows that the last BIOS for that laptop is 6.2 so I'm not sure why you're needing a BIOS update. As for your question about ram;

what rams are you trying to work with? You should be looking at a dual channel 2x8GB DDR3-1600MHz rated to run at 1.5v ram kit.

First thanks for taking time to answer This is the page that supposed to have the bios that I need I already buy the sticks and both are ddr3l supposedly work with 1.3 and 1.5v so I think this must be the bios fault

And why, specifically, do you think that the BIOS has anything at all to do with DDR3L sticks not working in a DDR3 slot? Single sided/double sided , 8 chip vs 16 chip & ECC vs non ECC has FAR more to do with it. What does your manual specify as supported?

Well after reading the manual an seeing that accepts ddr3 1600 MHz and seeing an offer for this modules and that the speeds are less and supposedly ddr3 modules accept no problem ddr3l I was really thinking that may be something in the bios update may be was the answer at least I wanted to try before I give up on this, any way
