Black screen and looping sound.

Issue: After a random amount of time playing graphic intensive games on my laptop I get a black screen and sound loop.

What I've tried: Reinstalling games/graphic drivers, CPU/GPU stress tests, clearing vents of buildup, testing RAM, and reformatting.

Have you checked the temps and what are the specs of the lappy?

The temp stays normal. Overheating isn't a problem.

Have you tried a couple of different Nvidia drivers to find the one that runs best for you?

Haven't tried that. Will have to get around to doing so.

Just tested out a couple older versions of the software and to no avail. Still black screening and sound looping.

Just updated BIOS as well. Didn't fix the issue.

I SOLVED black screen + jammed sound freeze about a month ago. Tried many things, but only one worked:

Download any program that allows you to clock your graphic card (I used nVidiaInspector) and underclock it a little.

I had often crashes in League of Legends, Diablo 3 and similar games, but since i turned both GPU and graphic memory 40 MHz lower, I never had even one crash, and the underclocking had no serious impact on fps. Seems like capacitors cant handle highest performance any more.
