[SOLVED] Bought today Samsung 870 EVO frequently disconnecting/disappearing since it's been plugged in. How do I fix this?

Hello,

Bought and installed a 1 Terabyte 870 Evo today and it's been completely unusable. I may try and install a game and it will always disconnect/disappear after a few minutes. It's in Sata port 3 on my B450F Mobo. Should be fine as it doesnt share bandwidth with the M.2 like Sata 5 and 6. Any ideas? I ran a diagnostic on Samsungs own Magician software and it says it's fine.

Try replacing the Sata data cable and moving it to another power connector.
If that doesn't help then return it.

I've tried a different SATA cable in a different port and a different power connector. Just defective at this point?

See if updating the bios fixes it first.
