[SOLVED] Brand new I7-10700K just came in the mail. Appears to have scratches/blemishes around the edges. Will this be a problem???

Just as title says. There are some blemishes or scratches in the CPU plate. I've tried seeing they come off with a little alcohol, but they do not.

What do you think? Should I request a return? Or are these going to be superficial imperfections?

It’s probably fine but if I just spent hundreds on a brand new CPU and it came like that I’d be very irritated. Personally if it wasn’t too much of a hassle I’d get a new one/refund

Thanks, I appreciate your input. It is pretty aggravating. I bought from Newegg, and I'm not sure how easy they are to deal with returns.

Looks fine to me. You are supposed to clean it with IPA anyway. See if it goes away with a qtip and some isopropanol.
