Burner Software

I just completed my first computer build. The DVD burner did not come with drivers. I would appreciate suggestions on where I can obtain the drivers so that the CD/DVD will function.

You don't need drivers. You can either use the built-in burning software with XP, or you need third party DVD burner software, which is what I would recommend. These include Nero, NTI, Roxio, Sonic, etc. I actually prefer Sonic. You'll also need software for viewing DVDs, like PowerDVD, WinDVD, etc. But you don't need drivers, as if you check the device manager you'll see XP sees your drive just fine.

INeedCache is right, you don't need drivers.

XP will burn CD's and for burning DVD's, I like Nero personally, and if you want to watch DVD's try VLC.

The drive should have come with software... even the OEM drives we sell come with software.
