Question Can I remove the usb 2.0 port and replace it with usb 3.0 and above?

Recently bought a 13 years old desktop pc with usb 2.0 and below type built in.
It is not likely possible to "upgrade" anything built into the motherboard to USB 3.

But you can possibly install an add-in card to do the job. Depends on what expansion slot types (PCI, PCIe) you have available on the motherboard, if any. Your motherboard may even have an unused USB3 front panel header that was left unconnected because your case doesn't have one to connect to it. So full system specs are required to help more: motherboard, CPU, GPU, case, memory, drives, etc.

A better description of what you have would be helpful
Perhaps some photos if the motherboard and front of the pc.
If the motherboard has an open expansion slot, you can install an adapter with usb3.0 connections on the rear of the pc. A front usb3.0 port may be a problem.
