[SOLVED] Can i run gtx 1080 woth 500w power supply?

Hi all,i have one question and i cant find answer to it. So i have ryzen 5 2600x and looking to buy gtx 1080 8gb or 1070 8gb ,my question now is can my 500w power supply from be quiet run that ?

What is the exact power supply? Not just the brand and listed wattage.

This would be on the edge of acceptable for me. For one, it only has 456W of +12V power and while it's competently made, given the 85-degree capacitors and the cost of a 1080, I'd personally be inclined to upgrade.

It's not likely actually dangerous. But "seeing how it works" isn't actually a thing with PSUs. Unless you have a truly horrendous PSU -- and you don't -- there won't be any new information that provides insight. You have to decide for yourself risk vs. cost based on the specs.
