Question Can I use Transparent tape or Insulating (black) tape to fix the CMOS to the Motherboard?

There was a yellow kind of tape before, I took it off and I cannot reattach it and now the battery is loose. I'd need to put it on the motherboard so it would touch the circuit. Laptop is an Asus K50IN.

yes, the battery is in a non conducting plastic hull. don't worry
Just tape it to the board like before
