Cannot access old User Profile files

Hello,
I reinstalled vista on my laptop. Before I did this I copied my old user directory (Rico) to my external HDD and renamed it to Ric😵ld.
I'm now trying to access the files within that directory again but with no luck.
I've given myself (via Administrator) full rights.
If I right-click > properties, then I can see there are 4000 files and that the folder is 4.5GB big, but via explorer I cannot "see" them.
Please help.

You may need to take ownership of the files. You could also try changing the options in Explorer to display hidden and system files.
