Hello.

Basically, I want to upgrade from my old GTX 960 2gb, into the newer GTX 1660 6gb SUPER from MSI - thoughts?

Second - is the motherboard compatible with the GTX 1660?

However, I begin questioning whether it is going to work, as I've had this system for the last 4/5 years, and was obvious an upgrade was needed.

SPECS:

CPU: INTEL i7 6700
PSU: THERMALTAKE TR2 S
GPU: GTX 960 2gb
CASE: AVP
RAM: 2* 8gb 1200 MHz DDR4 sticks.

What are your opinions / insights?

Probably from Speccy, doesn't account for the Double Data Rate so 1200x2=2400.

no youre fine, its probably 2400mhz which is fine.

The PSU should be ok with the upgrade but I'd consider replacing it at some point as it's a lower quality unit.
