I'm not so great with searching forums and such nor did i find a help section to post my thread. I was just wondering if anyone knew a site where i can get a basic-advanced breakdown on all the parts in a computer like compatibility of motherboard with ram and sli/xfire mobos with gpus. Please let me know where I should post this thread if this is incorrect, otherwise thank you!

Just need like basica knowledge on compatibility and like what everything means from 6gb/s and like ports.

Main thing i would like to know are motherboards, if any motherboard is sli/crossfire ready.
What makes motherboards different.

Same thing for RAM, like mhz.

This might be a bit vague, the only thing i kind of read was like a motherboard is like a kitchen countertop, Ram are the ingredients, processor is the brain. lol.

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130583

is this motherboard SLI/XFIRE ready?

Also, a note that my computer rig composes of.

16gb of some kingston ram of 1600mhz i believe
asus hd radeon 6950
that msi motherboard
i7 2600k
500 PSU from corsair, builder series
Hyper 212 with another fan.
310 intel SSD 160gb
WD caviar black 500gb

Do i need to upgrade my PSU? i ran stress tests with prime 95 and it crashes like 2-3 hours in.
