5000 words being roughly 10 pages. Do you have to cite sources and references as well?

This: "easy and good" is not the criteria you should be using. Especially for a dissertation level effort.

What "computing" work are you interested in doing: software, hardware, cyber security, networking, robotics.....?

Pick the EPQ topic/idea that fits in with your professional objectives and goals. Even if not IT per se.

You will learn more if the EPQ topic is hard and more suited ("good") to your interests.

Just my thoughts on the matter.

There may be other ideas and suggestions.

I'm interested in software and hardware and networking a bit.

What question do you think would be good to write about?

thanks for your reply

Isn't part of the effort deciding on the idea? What speaks to you? What are you passionate about? If you have to ask strangers to choose an idea, you might not be academically ready for this step.
i am interested in computing but i am struggling in coming up with a question I'm mainly interested in software and hardware
