Hi, it's exactly as the title says. I have some pairs of wireless headphones and gaming headsets that use sort of a proprietary USB dongle receiver to plug into only one specific singular console. I do not own that USB dongle, because these were purchased with it being unknowly needed. The seller never mentioned needing them, and I figured they would connect via Bluetooth because that's how they were advertised. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case, so I'm asking here if there is any real decent way to turn wireless headphones that have an internal battery and need a USB dongle to connect to things; if they can be turned into Bluetooth headphones via soldering some sort of Bluetooth module? I'm fairly decent with soldering components but I mostly lack a good understanding of the Bluetooth boards and receivers and whatnot. If this isn't the correct thread to post in, I apologize, I can post it there instead. I only ask since the headphones charge just fine, but only pair to an Xbox console and nothing else, even with the receiver, as far as I'm aware, so I'd rather put that money into a Bluetooth board instead. Thank you.

which headphone exactly are you using? brand and model.

it´s unlikely that soldering will get you the solution. Get the USB receiver for these headphones or send the headphones back and get bluetooth ones.
The headset is PDP Lvl. 50 Wireless Headset, for Xbox specifically I believe. I can't return them because with the site I used, once you okay that you've got the package, there are no returns. The USB receiver as far as I'm aware only connects it to an Xbox game console, so it would be useless for me to get the dongle unless it can be modified in some way to allow for Bluetooth or further connectivity with other devices that aren't Xbox.

should work with PC/laptop windows as well with the USB dongle. It´s just tested to work with the xbox (licenced), but still is compatible to any other system

sell the headset and get a bluetooth headset.
or you can try:

I see. I actually had checked out that video earlier and while it gave some good insights, it basically turned mediocre headphones into mediocre ones since it went about solving some of the Bluetooth problems by cheaping out on proper components, to a degree from what I understood. Not a perfect 1:1 of what I was hoping to attempt.

If you say that the USB dongle would work on pc, then it has a bit more of my interest. Once again though, other than potentially keeping a pair for myself, I have a few of them, and that would mean I need to buy multiple dongles if I wanted to sell it properly as a complete unit.
