Definitely, at least a p965 board, preferably a 6x0i board if you have the cash for it (I like asus's plus edition of the 650i, it is basically the same as their 680i board, but for only $200 instead of $300). Getting a good cpu is only half of it, the motherboard is just as important, that's something you have to remember (in fact, my mobo was pricier than my cpu 8O since I knew I was going to overclock and done a ton of research on the board and the amd cpus when they still had the performance crown)
