I need to choose between these 2 PSUs. 650W or 750W (depending on availibility).
Other brands like EVGA or Seasonic are not available in my country (as of now).

This build is for video editing & productivity purpose. Not for gaming.

Confusion:

1. I have read on this forum that RM series is older & the RMX series is newer and better. But unfortunately, RMX series is not available in my country.
And TX-M series is touted to be better than RM series.
But then why RM Series has 10 years WARRANTY and TX-M Series has 7 years only?

Please Note:
It's RM series and not RMX series.

Other specs:
TX-M Series: Semi-modular
RM Series: Fully Modular

Thanks.

The TX-M is actually higher rated and has superior construction than the RM and uses all Japanese Caps.
I didn't know that.
I just did a quick Google search on the TX750m and RM650x before posting in this thread and from that very limited info thought the RM was better.
Thanks for the info.
Do you by chance have any links to current reviews of them so I can read them to update my knowledge base?

Thanks for the clarification.

After a lot of online search, i have found a total of 4 Corsair PSUs variants (mid-top tier).

Can you please suggest one PSU among these?
  1. RM-X Series
  2. TX-M Series
  3. SF 600 Gold
  4. Vengeance 650W Silver
A. Which one is more reliable in terms of longevity? (in your experience)
B. Which one would be a good enough purchase for my build?
C. And how much wattage would be sufficient? (with some headspace for future upgrades)

Please Note: My build is for 2-d animation & 1080p video-editing (YouTube) purpose only. No gaming.

Thanks.

RMx is fully modular, TXm is semi modular.

RMx is also all Japanese capacitors. they both have rifle bearing.

But RMx has 14cm fan while TXm is 12cm. that's a big plus for RM
It has 10 years warranty vs 7 years. It has zero rpm mode which TX doesn't (now you can throw TX away already)
and RM is a bit longer in dimensions, about 2cm
