I’m so frustrated right now, I unscrewed the cpu cooling because I heard a bit of shaking and now I’m trying to screw it back on but it won’t reach. I’ve been at it for 2 hours now and nothing (besides messing up my thermal paste) I put the backplate to hold on the cooler but it just won’t reach. There’s only 1 screw that actually screws in but it’s different than the other 3 holes, it actually sticks outside (see picture, top right hole). The motherboard is a Gigabyte G1 SNIPER. I don’t know a whole ton about computers so this is very difficult. Thanks for any help guys.

Your backplate is off from the motherboard. This is on the back of the motherboard.

Your cpu paste is everywhere. This isn't good.

If this is too tough, take it to a pro as this is an easy fix and easy money for them. Because if you do this wrong, you can damage hundreds of dollars of stuff really fast.
