so my problem here is that i just bought a new motherboard, asus rog strix b450-f gaming am4 atx and i have a CPU from my uncle thats the ryzen 5 2400g.
when i try to put the cpu in the slot, it drops in, but it doesnt go in fully. its like rocking back and forth inside the socket. if i look at it from the side, i can see that on the left its inside, and on the right its slightly evelated, with the CPU sticks showing a little bit.

here are 2 photos of the situation
the other side of the CPU is just barely a darker colour of gold, and i dont know if this is normal or not

so im wondering here if the problem could be: 1. the cpu is broken. 3. the socket in the motherboard is broken. 2.

thank you in advance

Make better photos - higher resolution and from different angles.
Probably some pins are bent/misaligned.

Make a photo of cpu socket also. Might be something stuck in there and preventing cpu to go in fully.

Are you sure, you're inserting cpu in correct orientation?

Make more photos from different angles.
I see at least 2 bent pins - both in left corner of the image.

Yes, you have to straighten them. Be very careful. Pins can break off, if you're bend them too aggressive.
my phone camera cant get a better picture, but i looked at the pins and those 2 that you could see are the only ones bent
can i just bend them straight or what do i do
