Cpu help pls

hi, i recently got gw2 and my fps is horrible when there are many people around. was thinking of upgrading my cpu from this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115015

i was wondering if the transition would be a problem and what kind of performance increase i could expect. not quite ready to build a totally new computer yet, and im pretty new to all of this.

heres my specs:
e6320
nvidia 8600 gts
6 gb ram, ddr2
750w psu
win7 64bit
dunno if im missing anything, my machine is a dell xps 710 though

id like to know if itll make a difference, and if not, what would be a good and budget friendly alternative?

I'd look into upgrading your old GPU before a CPU. You'll see a lot better performance out of that. Look on the sys reqs for gw2 and see what the 'recommended requirements' are to help judge what GPU to look at getting.
