Hi!

I installed a new Motherboard (Gigabyte - K7 Triton), now my Athlon XP 2100+ is detected as a Athlon 1500+ by the System.
I took a look at my CPU stats and there was the Problem:

The Multiplier is set to 13, but the System Clock is set to ~100 MHz where it should be 133Mhz (according to toms guide 😉 ).

What can I do to give my cpu the power it deserves?
(My current settings on the motherboard are "auto" in the multiplier switch and the frontside bus switch)

Cu Timo

big thanks!
Its the bios, okay :) I thought there were jumpers or somethink, but the bios is cool :)

266Mhz is the max that the Athlon xp 2100 can deal with, hm?
I feal the system to run faster.... juhu =)

I think its palomino, its a AMD Athlon XP 2100+.
Hm... I have a watercooling system, but I don't think its good for my cpu to overclock, hm?

>2100+ is the limit for a Palomino core I'm afraid.

Oh that is sooooo untrue ! Palomino can get up to 2110+ - 2120+ easily with phase change cooling.
