Question CPU temperature reaches 100 degrees when playing games.

My cpu temperature when idle is 44 to 50 degrees, but when I play games, it reaches 80 to 100 degrees, what are the cause of it and any possible solutions on how to fix it? I heard thermal pasting fixes it but what exactly is it?

What cooler? Is it properly mounted? Is the fan spinning? What case? How many fans? How are they arranged in the case?

I don't really know the type of cooler I have but it is properly mounted and the fan is still spinning, I only have 1 fan and since the case is small it's kinda cramped, sorry I'm just a beginner at these kind of stuffs.

If it IS properly mounted and working, you NEED more airflow in your case.

What cpu cooler?
What pc case?

If you don't know even basic information about the cooler, then how do you know it's mounted properly?
