Ok, I've read some of the posts in the newsgroup and it seems that no one
else has reported this bug yet, maybe I've missed something but is driving
me crazy so I'll ask :)

When an old sim dies of age I get no money and no urn/tombstone, it
disappear from the house but from the neighborhood view, if I click on the
house, it's still there... I have houses full of old dead sims!!!!

Is this bug known???
Is caused by some hacks???
There's a cure? a patch? a something????

Please help me!
Thanks
ManuFla :)

I'd assume he means the icon for the dearly departed shows when he hovers
over a house in the neighborhood view...

Well, if that's the case, I found that you have to exit and relaunch the
game before the neighborhood screen gets updated. Same with Sims that
leave, are taken away by social services, etc.

With it I mean he or she, the dead sim. (I'm italian, I make mistakes
sometimes :))

Yes.

And no. Even if I relaunch the game a thousand times the dead sims are still
there, in the description of the house, in the neighborhood view.
I've even tried to move out the family, best solution for many problems with
this game, but nothing: the dead elders still results part of the family.

I'm startin' thinking that no one else have had this problem 🙁

No I did have it. I just didn't understand what you meant at first. What was
suggested when I had it was to use SimPe to remind the ghost they are dead.
Make sure there is a death token and that they are marked as a ghost. Not
actually sure how successful doing this was for me since I have not played
that house since I made the changes but I did have a Sim who forgot they
were dead so that might help you.

No. I did a few installs back. One Sim hung about for ages. Other Sims also
had phone calls from him. 8( I just presumed it was due to me tweaking the
wrong things in SimPe.

I can't remember doing anything about it so I am no great help; but you are
not alone. 8)

I'm not very good with the SimPe but I'll give this one a try, thanks.

No, nothing. The dead elders are still there.
They dind't have the token of death and I've gave it to them but nothing
changes.
Maybe it's the ghost question but I don't know where to look in the SimPe to
fix that one.

I'm no expert at using SimPE but I think what you are looking for can be
found by choosing Plugins > Sim Browser. Then double-click on the Sim you
want. Choose the Character tab within the Plugin View tab. There you will
find a group of check boxes called "Ghost", one of them is called "Is
Ghost".

Found, thanks :)
But again a big nothing 🙁
Even with the token of death and even "ghost" my elders are still there.

I've noticed that all of the ancestors have 2 "I am dead" tokens. I am not
sure what the significance of this is but you may have to add another one.
Also, make sure the "Is Action" box is checked and the "Visible" box is
unchecked. This is just a guess.

Ok, here's the solution that worked for me (on several houses where this
had happened). You need to have cheats enabled. Then you spawn a headstone
of life and death. Then you click on it and you get an option which is "get
family member". Get the dead elder: they will appear, remember that they're
dead and disappear again -- for good. Or at least it worked for me...

How do you spawn a headstone?

Once you have the cheats enabled, you shift-click on a character, choose
"spawn" and then "headstone of L&D").

(But the other answer was funnier...)
