I have my laptop charger, which has a large power brick, in my laptop bag on my bedroom floor. My cat came in the other day and rubbed her face and paws on the mesh surface. At the time i just laughed it off but now im worried.

I know static kills components and im worried with it being winter time that my cat fried the brick when she rubbed her paws on my bag. Should i be worried or is my charger likely fine?

(sorry if this is a dumb question but i have an anxiety disorder and things like this worry me)

I've tested items of electronic equipment using an ESD Simulator gun set to 8kV, but some tests on other systems may require voltages up to 30kV.

I hadn't considered using a cat.:)
